We are pleased to announce that we have started working with the Nitz Lab Group at the University of Toronto. Mark’s group will be using Samples as their first electronic notebook experience. The Nitz group is the perfect testing ground for Samples as this lab represents a very typical lab setting. The group uses various types of research instrumentation (fluorescence, NMR, Mass Spec) which are connected to dedicated PCs. Each member of the group uses their own laptop and paper notebook. By using Samples, we are going to provide the group with the support needed to help improve data management within the group. Our goal is to working closely with this group to gather feedback and suggestions as to how to improve Samples in meeting their experimental workflow and data management needs. I will continue to post our progress with Nitz Lab Group, hopefully you will find these posts helpful in dealing with your own lab’s data management needs. If you run a lab and are interested in potentially becoming a testing lab for Samples please send us an email.
